This page describes long time issues that have not been fixed yet and often require fixing a third-party library first.

Scrolling through the playlist queue doesn't work with WebKitGtk 2.4.8

  • Affected systems: All systems with WebKitGtk 2.4.8, e.g. Ubuntu 14.04 LTS Trusty Tahr and its derivatives including elemantary OS Freya and Linux Mint 17.
  • Fixed in: The issue seems not to occur in WebKitGTK 2.6.2 (Ubuntu 15.04, Debian Jessie, Fedora 22 and newer).
  • Recommendation: Upgrade to WebKitGTK 2.6.2 or newer.
  • Bug reports: tiliado/nuvola-app-google-play-music#10 and tiliado/nuvolaplayer#206.

It is possible to scroll through the main screen, but when the playlist is opened it doesn't get it's own scrollbar and the biggest part of the playlist is outside of the window and can't be reached.

Main content of window does not load after logging in

Status: Bug report forwarded to the WebKitGtk developers, waiting for the fix.

The main content doesn't sometimes load properly on some systems. It was find out that the issue is reproducible in the WebKiGTK+ MiniBrowser debugging tool, so it's likely a bug in the WebKitGTK+ web rendering library rather than in Nuvola Player.

Similar Artist Pictures on Album Pages are stretched

Status: The problem seems to be fixed in libwebkitgtk-3.0.0 version 2.4.8-1.

If you are on an album page and Google Music shows related/similar artists at the bottom, their images are vertically stretched to the full size of the Nuvola Player's window. The error happens only on album pages. If you look at an artist page, the related artist pictures looks fine.

Missing HiDPI support

Status: Upstream bug tracker already contains bug report for this issue, waiting for the fix.

Report from user: 'When it first starts loading Google Play Music, it uses the retina imagery (visible in the Google play logo in the top left), but by the time it starts loading the progress bar, it goes back to the "correct size but blurry" behavior.'
