1. Previous Meeting Minutes

• Linters:
  • [ROS2 Porting] Meeting 2020/11/30 #133 (comment)
  • @nnmm try to batch-migrate license comments, header filenames, and #include style. We should probably also track all TODO comments in an issue to add explanations and assignees.
  • Each engineer start on the clean up task after @nnmm’s batch migration.
  • Aim to finish clean up within a week. => move on to Autoware.Auto repository after this work.
  • @nnmm do further investigation on the behavior of UB sanitizer
  • We should apply UB sanitizer after moving to Autoware.Auto
• Livox Lidar:
  • [ROS2 Porting] Meeting 2020/11/26 #131 (comment)
  • Currently, there are no plans to support Foxy. There are ROS2 release twice a year, which they think is too frequent to support all versions.
  • @fred-apex-ai was able to build it Foxy with a small patch. PR is already made on upstream
  • @mitsudome-r will test it on an actual sensor.
  • @mitsudome-r will create an issue in AutowareArchitectureProposal to track this.
• Porting interpolate_nodelet
  • Porting Interpolate Nodelet autoware_launch-old#22
  • For the vehicle integration next week, we will use ros2 branch on https://github.com/tier4/velodyne_vls/tree/tier4/master/velodyne_driver
  • @mitsudome-r tell @fred-apex-ai once it’s ready
  • Need to organize features that must be ported to Autoware.Auto, which also has velodyne driver (but with better code quality:)

2. Current Blockers

  • blocked by fix_distortion
    • @mitsudome-r will create a ros2 branch on https://github.com/tier4/velodyne_vls/tree/tier4/master/velodyne_driver
  • blocked by tamagawa_imu
    • PR already created here. ROS2 Porting: tamagawa_imu_driver tamagawa_imu_driver#2
    • @esteve will do the review
    • @TakaHoribe due the test with actual hardware on Friday

3. Announcements:

• Yunus is assigned to another project. Monika will be joining sometime next week.
• @TakaHoribe @mitsudome-r will start integrating with the actual vehicle tomorrow.
• @mitsudome-r wouldn’t be able to run the meeting due to experiments. Decided to skip the next meeting on Monday.
