Redownload Option

v4.4 introduces a new feature to decrease the size of project repository. The source code of the following two libraries is not included in the repository. Their source code is automatically downloaded before the build scripts compile them.

  • FFmpeg
  • cpu-features

If their source code is already downloaded and extracted, then build scripts won't download them again to complete the compilation faster. However, if you need to re-download their sources, you can use --download-LIBRARY option. This option will download the source code even if it is found locally.

Note that the source code of GPL licensed libraries (libvid.stab, rubberband, x264, x265 and xvidcore) was already not part of the repository. You can use this option to re-download them too.
