As a result of the following steps, you will setup and run symbIoTe Cloud components for your platform. You will also register your platform and resources in symbIoTe Core offered by symbIoTe project, which collects metadata for all symbIoTe-enabled platforms. This will allow other symbIoTe users to use the Core to search and access resources that have been shared by you.
In order to run symbIoTe Cloud components you need to have public IP address with DNS entry. For testing purposes and Hackathons we provide instructions that use ngrok tool/service but this is not for production.
Three are 3 ways to install cloud components:
- From sources
- Downloading and configuring jar files
- Downloading and configuring Docker containers (RECOMMENDED)
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you have already deployed a symbIoTe instance, please follow this guide to upgrade to the newest symbIoTe version and this guide if you want to move to a docker deployment.
