Hi,
This is my first issue for streetcomplete, so I may not be perfectly informed, if I'm wrong, sorry.

So I've remarked that recycling containers tagged as surfaces aren't considered in SC's quest about recycling: is it intentional ?

For example, the following ways aren't taken into account by the mentioned SC quest:

So, well, just a proposal : why not include these surfaces in the quest ? (just as a parking place can be a node or a closed way, a container can also be a closed way)

According to taginfo, recycling=amenity is used in 27k cases VS 380k for nodes. So of course, less cases, but still actively used.

With surfaces, you mean areas.

It looks like it has been an oversight. In the wiki, it is documented to be fine for recycling (container groups) to be mapped as surfaces, and it has been so apparently from the beginning.
