React Native: Fix errors on compose story #25894

minimum changes to not error when document doesn't exist

  2. yarn test

If I just update getSelectionSpecifierFromPath then I get the webview error

after making these same changes in the nodemodules tests pass

Hey @dannyhw thanks a lot for the fix <3

I did some investigation and I found that the cause for this issue is because of a code path used for storyStoreV6, which does not exist anymore in Storybook 8.

I tested the composeStories API in a React Native project using SB8 (I essentially added a resolutions field for @storybook/react) and things just worked. So if you'd like to make this as a fix to SB7, can you branch off of main instead and make a PR targetting main?
