Become a sponsor to Florian Quirin
Welcome and thank you for visiting my GitHub Sponsors page! 😃
My name is Florian and since you're here you've probably stumbled across one of my open-source projects, maybe something related to natural language understanding, speech recognition, voice assistants, lightweight web servers (that extend clients with new capabilities), smart home, data privacy or digital autonomy. I like to experiment with all kinds of technologies, tinker with hardware, love the Raspberry Pi, even tried to create my own space-shooter 🚀 with Phaser CE (yet to be released ^^) but usually I work with Javascript, Java and a bit of Python to build web apps, backend services and integrate web APIs into programs. Occasionally I do some data science work with Matlab or R as well.
My projects usually revolve around the question: "how can we regain a bit of independence and data sovereignty in an online world dominated by cloud services and run by a few large corporations?" 🐿️ ... other times is just about having fun 😁
S.E.P.I.A. - 🤖 Open, intelligent, private, customizable voice assistant
Currently I'm spending most of my free time working on the open assistant framework SEPIA. The project is about building a voice assistant that can "replace" () Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant and Siri out-of-the-box but is 100% open source, works stand-alone, is much more flexible, can be hosted on your own Raspberry Pi server, can be extended with custom services by anybody (e.g. via graphical code editors and SDKs), connects to smart home HUBs like OpenHAB, FHEM etc., runs cross-platform (all desktops, Android, iOS, RPi and even smart watches with Tizen) and last but not least respects your privacy!
If you would like to support me in my quest for independence and data sovereignty I would be very happy and thankful! 😌
