Hi,

What do you think of gcv for git commit -v wich display the patch in $EDITOR ?

Sometimes it's useful for good commits messages.

I used to have something like that, but it was removed due to conflicts; though, it was not called gcv. I may add it if it's used often. We'll see what people vote. If you don't use it often, you can just use gc -v.

If I remember correctly gc used to be verbose by default, but it was
removed because the verbose switch conflicts with other git commit
switches.

@Fl4t Do me a favour. Run git commit --verbose with different switches and tell me if it whines saying that --verbose is not compatible with --foo and --bar.
