Intro
FHIRworks on AWS is an FHIR server solution from AWS. The original repository has been archived since January 31, 2024. In the meantime, AWS offers a service called AWS HealthLake, however this service is only available in the US East (N. Virginia), US West (Oregon), US East (Ohio), and Asia Pacific (Mumbai) regions. Due to data sovereignty, we cannot use these regions to host our FHIR storage solutions, so we will continue to maintain the FHIRworks solution for the time being.
The repository is a mono-repo solution of the previously individual repositories hosting the following different components of the FHIRworks solution:
- fhir-works-on-aws-deployment
- fhir-works-on-aws-interface
- fhir-works-on-aws-persistence-ddb
- fhir-works-on-aws-authz-rbac
- fhir-works-on-aws-search-es
- fhir-works-on-aws-routing
The deployment repository content can now be found in the path ./solutions/deployment, while the other components listed are located in ./fwoa-core/.
This repository, unlike the earlier individual repositories, uses the Cloud Development Kit to deploy the solution.
