Selection shutter logo overlaps screen #213

When I try to take a shot with the Selection Tool in Shutter the Shutter-Logo overlaps all of my windows.

Shutter Version: Shutter 0.93.1 Rev.1278
uname -a: Linux ThisIsMyArch 4.8.4-1-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT Sat Oct 22 18:26:57 CEST 2016 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Everything up-to-date.

This error appeared after a failed installation of the NVIDIA Drivers

  • Installed NVIDIA Drivers
  • Blacklisted noveau Drivers
  • Got a loginloop in GNOME
  • Removed NVIDIA Drivers and re-enabled noveau Drivers

I am having the same issue, but it happens which ever mode I use.

Shutter Version Shutter 0.93.1 Rev.1278
uname -a: Linux 4.8.7-1-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT Thu Nov 10 17:22:48 CET 2016 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Not sure when the error first started, but it has been consistent.

Happens to me too, all capture modes. Fedora 25 Gnome.

This looks like a duplicate of https://bugs.launchpad.net/shutter/+bug/1502263 Are you using Wayland?

Fedora 25 Gnome uses Wayland so as far as I'm concerned, you're right about the duplicate.

No followups since 2017, also it looks a lot like a duplicate of #187, closing.
