Releases: scilus/fibernavigator
November 2015
Various improvements
*Fixed direction initialisation error when using RT-HARDI tracking.
Fibernavigator with advanced rendering options such as:
-Orientation-dependent opacity rendering of fibers (Tax et al. 2015, PLoS ONE)
-Real-time fiber tractography (Chamberland et al. 2014, Frontiers in Neuroinformatics)
-Real-time resting-state fMRI (Chamberland et al. 2015, ISMRM Toronto)
-Tractography-driven resting-state fMRI (Chamberland et al. 2015, Frontiers in Neuroscience)
Easy step-by-step guide for opacity-rendering:
- Load fa.nii (see exampleData.zip)
- Load subsamp.tck (streamlines dataset)
- Click on top menu "fibers -> use transparent fibers"
- The different menu option (alpha values, local vs global modes, opacity functions, etc) can be found on the properties panel of the streamlines dataset.

FiberNavigator - Complete GUI + RT-fMRI
This release is the first release of the rtfmri-coloring-feature branch.
Main additions / changes:
- Support for Real-time fMRI processing
- Better coloring maps
- Now built on wxWidgets 3.0.
This release uses the full (or "heavyweight") GUI.
Builds are available for Mac OSX (tested on OSX 10.8 and 10.9) and for Windows 7 and Windows 8.
Compiled from source, rtfmri-coloring-feature branch, commit cb0140a.
To use on Linux, please follow the instructions in the wiki.
FiberNavigator (Lightweight GUI) - f31251a96a
Precompiled version of the Fibernavigator, using the lightweight GUI.
Main changes since last release:
- Various fixes and improvements to the fiber loading mecanisms.
Builds are available for Mac OSX (should work on OSX 10.6, 10.7 and 10.8) and for Windows 7 and Windows 8.
Compiled from source, commit f31251a.
FiberNavigator (Lightweight GUI) - 313ec53fa6
Precompiled version of the Fibernavigator, using the lightweight GUI.
Main changes since last release:
- New option for Realtime tracking: now able to seed from a mask.
Build are available for Mac OSX (should work on OSX 10.6, 10.7 and 10.8) and for Windows 7 and Windows 8.
Compiled from source, commit 313ec53.
