Another hidden lineage circulating likely in Africa during the past autumn : LF.7.3+ S:L117I + S:N487D (1, Uganda) #2372

LF.7

I casually discover a singlet sampled earlier in November in Spain from a traveller from Uganda.
Central Africa has been a very under sampled area through 2024 so 1 sample from there , even if not super recent , is worth to be described.
The sample belongs to LF.7.3 and has two spike mutations S:L117I and S:N487D. The latter is recently homoplasic and appeared today in a XEC sample from California too.
