It is interesting cause if you make the sum of the mutations deletions and the insertion in that region the 1-100AA of the NTD of BA.2.86 are very far away from the WT, so it makes sense some new mutations could be selected there |

It seems that S:S31F is also convergent in BA.2.86*. Besides JN.2.1 there's also some JN.1.1 branchs with this.
