I'm okay with this change on a fundamental level, but "partition" strikes me as slightly odd for reasons I can't fully explain. @carols10cents what do you think?
Obviously "partition" is 100% correct and fine here, I think it's that it's not a word I use often and so doesn't sound like it's in the book's voice. I dunno. Happy to merge or maybe tweak ever-so-slightly.
How about "split" instead of "partition"? |
Yeah @steveklabnik perhaps "partition" is unnecessarily fancy. @carols10cents I really like your "split" suggestion so i updated the PR to match that :). |

My apologies if this seems a little nitpicky, but the way I first read "Rust lets you organize your packages into crates and your crates into modules" I incorrectly interpreted this to suggest packages are put into crates and crates are put into modules, which would lead a reader to think that modules are the largest container.
I think using the stronger language and explicitly saying "partition a package into multiple crates ..." (adding the word multiple/partition and using the singular of the larger containers) can prevent some readers from interpreting the text incorrectly.
