what

  • The GitHub status should be reported separately for plan and apply phases

why

  • So we can require status checks to pass for plan and apply separately

use-case

  • We are used to merging PRs upon approval. Old habits die hard. Sometimes we merge an atlantis PR without running apply. We would like to prevent this behavior by requiring the apply status check to pass.

👍 IMO this is one of top things to make Atlantis even better

Adding to this... It would also be helpful to have separate status checks per each atlantis.yaml project.
