I've just noticed that disabling trends adds an extra sidebar item called "Search" with a magnifying glass icon. However, with mastodon-bird-ui, this item appears above the Mastodon logo.

To reproduce this, go to Preferences -> Administration -> Server Settings -> Discovery and uncheck Enable trends.

Yeah, currently the theme doesn't work without trends. Should find an alternative way to do the sorting.
