twitrss

this project is a work in progress and does not quite function yet

this project aims to implement an RSS gateway for twitter. the MVP should allow you to get a twitter user's tweets as an RSS/atom feed.

some RSS services (such as inoreader, of which I am a paid user) allow following a twitter user as a feed, but I created this project for the following reasons:

  • to allow me to filter replies out of the feed
  • to create a more concise article body
  • experiment with using react to render RSS/generic XML rather than HTML (see renderToXml.tsx).

This is a Next.js project bootstrapped with create-next-app.

Getting Started

First, run the development server:

npm run dev
# or
yarn dev

Open http://localhost:3000 with your browser to see the result.

You can start editing the page by modifying pages/index.js. The page auto-updates as you edit the file.

API routes can be accessed on http://localhost:3000/api/hello. This endpoint can be edited in pages/api/hello.js.

The pages/api directory is mapped to /api/*. Files in this directory are treated as API routes instead of React pages.
