The Resbaz-way

If you are serious about having a ResBaz at your institution (so more next gen digi res skills will communally spread!), then there is no better way to get started than a training day with someone who is already running a ResBaz at their institution.

Below you will find a ticklist of what you will need to prepare so you are eligible for a ResBazador to come out and facilitate training with your team (free of charge).

What you need to do in preparation

So as to make sure we are not wasting the money of our sponsors we'll need a commitment that the following things will be provided to assure the learning is embedded and lasting:

  • Who is the named site-lead for the training workshop, this person should also be the likely candidate as the named "Community Manager" for ResBaz at your institution. This person will liaise directly with the ResBazador responsible for doing the training and the institutional team participating in the training.
  • Logistics: room booking (projector, whiteboards, etc.), workshop catering, a reception or evening meal with key institutional stakeholders.
  • Attendance: assurance that the following key institutional stakeholders will be present: a.) "community manager" type person, b.) likely researchers (ECRs) who would be willing to provide training in a next gen digi res skill, c.) senior researcher
