# WebTrove

WebTrove is an open-source distributed Chrome plugin and server-based bookmark management system that allows users to organize and access their bookmarks efficiently.

## Installation

### Chrome Extension

1. Clone or download this repository.
2. Open Chrome and go to `chrome://extensions/`.
3. Enable Developer mode.
4. Click on "Load unpacked" and select the `chrome-extension` folder from the cloned/downloaded repository.

### Server

1. Clone or download this repository.
2. Set up a Linux server with PHP 8.3, CodeIgniter, and MySQL.
3. Configure the server settings in the `server/config/database.php` file.
4. Import the provided MySQL database schema located in `server/database/webtrove.sql`.
5. Deploy the server files to your server environment.

## Usage

1. Once the Chrome extension is installed, click on the WebTrove icon in your browser toolbar.
2. Configure the extension to point to your server API endpoint.
3. Start adding and organizing bookmarks using the WebTrove interface.
