Only occurs if 'CONFIG_BCM2708_VCHIQ' is set to "" - with VideoCore support built-in, the kernel boots correctly. Note, however, that even in the crash above the vchiq module is loaded... |

I just tried removing CONFIG_BCM2708_VCHIQ from 3.12 kernel and it booted okay. |

Hmm - I had CONFIG_BCM2708_VCHIQ=M (seems to have been missed off my previous comment, sorry!), so perhaps it works built-in or excluded entirely, but fails when built as a module? |

Commit da4e4f1 ("drivers/perf: arm_pmu: implement CPU_PM notifier") added code in the arm perf infrastructure that allows the kernel to save/restore perf counters whenever the CPU enters a low-power state. The kernel saves/restores the counters for each active event through the armpmu_{stop/start} ARM pmu API, so that the low-power state enter/exit cycle is emulated through pmu start/stop operations for each event in use. [ Upstream commit 11a245e ] the control action in the common member of struct tcf_csum must be a valid value, as it can contain the chain index when 'goto chain' is used.
