are the APIs and SDK free to use?

I'm building a dApp that MIGHT get quite a lot of users, is there a limit on how many requests are sent using the ethereum-SDK? Is an API key needed somewhere?

Yes, apis and sdk are free to use.
Could you tell me more about app you want to create?
Will features of the protocol it will use? (query nfts, purchase etc)

Also, do you have any insight into how many users will use it

Quick question, in the ethereum-sdk example I see this code:

I am currently using the Moralis Rarible plugin for the minting process, but it only performs lazy minting. I would like to remove it from that step and use the sdk mint method like the one above, but I managed to get it to work only with existing lazy minted NFTs.

The question is just, is the collection property required? If yes, what should its value be in the case of the NFT being created from scratch?

I would like a user to only enter name, description and image -> choose royalties and if lazy -> I upload to IPFS the metadata --> I get the IPFS uri -> mint

Nfts on ethereum are minted inside smart contracts. Collection here is smart contract where nft should be minted. So yes, it's required.
You can create your own smart contract to mint nfts or you can use Rarible public contracts.

It doesn't matter if you want to lazy mint or not, you should upload metadata somewhere, usually to ipfs
