This demo aims to show how can we create a custom sticker pack for the Google Keyboard, GBoard.
- A device running Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) or newer, and Google Play services 11.4.0 or higher
- The Google Play services SDK from the Google Repository, available in the Android SDK Manager
- The latest version of Android Studio, version 1.5 or higher
- Firebase index configuration
- Google-services.json, a configuration from your Firebase project
- Install Google Keyboard application
Steps for trying out this sample:
- This sample uses the Gradle build system. To build this project, use the "gradlew build" command or use "Import Project" in Android Studio.
- Get Google-service.json from your firebase project
- Compile and install the mobile app onto your mobile device or emulator.
- Once the application is installed, go to google keyboard and choose sticker.
- Error:org.gradle.api.GradleException: File google-services.json is missing. The Google Services Plugin cannot function without it.
- Solution: You need to provide your google-service.json generated by your firebase project.
- Android App Indexing → FirebaseAppIndexingInvalidArgumentException Intent cannot be resolved;
- Solution: provide the intent filter to your activity in the manifest.xml
