  • v27.1 – Hard Fork - Mandatory Update before block 4590000 (4510000 in testnet) – Upgrade to bitcoin core 27.1 - EVM Dencun - Improvements and Bug fixes.

    • Upgrade Qtum core to bitcoin core 27.1 including updates from 25.2, 26.0, 26.1, 26.2, 27.0 and 27.1. Main highlights:

      • Support for v2 transport protocol (BIP 0324).
      • Use descriptors sqlite wallets as default.
      • Support CoinGrinder coin selection algorithm.
      • Support v3 transaction policy.
      • Miniscript expressions support in Taproot descriptors.
      • new RPC calls, including: loadtxoutset, importmempool, submitpackage.
      • Improved GUI wallet.
      • Improved pruning.

    • Implement Dencun EVM upgrade. Main highlights:

      • Optimized Data Efficiency.
      • Gas Fee Reduction for Layer 2.
      • Transient storage opcodes (EIP-1153).
      • BLOBBASEFEE instruction (EIP-7516).
      • MCOPY - Memory copying instruction (EIP-5656).
      • SELFDESTRUCT only in same transaction (EIP-6780).

    • Update nMinimumChainWork, defaultAssumeValid and chainTxData.

    • Add recent checkpoints.
