Is there a pip release that includes this fix? 7.1.2 claims that --trusted-host is an option, but when you try to use it, you get an error.

This commit only allows to use --trusted-host option in a requirement file and has not been released yet.
It will be included in pip 8.0 that should be released in approximately 1 month.

Could you please open a new issue explaining what you are doing/trying to do ?
