Effective HP
Effective HP is a term used to determine the amount of HP you can expect to have when you factor in the resists values of your fit and an incoming damage profile.
It is easy to select the incoming damage pattern. The damage type values of the damage pattern are shown under the resist values of your fit. Right click this area select your pattern:
You might want to know how your fit fares against a particular ammo type. This can easily be accomplished by right clicking the ammo in the market and selecting Set Charge as Damage Pattern
. You may select this in the damage pattern menu by choosing Selected Ammo
.
Note: This pattern is saved as the "Selected Ammo" pattern in the user database and will persist on restart.
Window > Damage Pattern Editor
or use the shortcut Ctrl+D
You can manually add patterns with the action buttons or import a list of pre-defined values from clipboard (see below). The damage pattern is not input as percentages but instead as raw damage, and the percentage of damage that each damage type contributes to the total damage output is calculated and displayed as a percentage. This means you can input 2 for Kinetic and 10 for Thermal (the damage pattern for Phased Plasma S), and it will automatically calculate to 16.7% and 83.3% respectively.
To better facilitate organization, you may prepend the name of a profile with a group name in square brackets like so: [Parent] Child
. In the context menu when selecting, the parent item will include a child sub-menu (see first image). It should be noted that this feature is not recursive: a profile named [Parent] [Child] Grandchild
will be constructed into this menu: Parent > [Child] Grandchild
.
pyfa uses the same format as EFT for it's damage pattern import/export. Copy this to your clipboard, and select the Import from clipboard
button in the Damage Pattern Editor
