Description of Organization

Heilbronn University is a University of Applied Sciences with a focus on technology, business and computer science, located in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. With a total of 8,302 students, it is one of the largest universities of applied sciences in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Heilbronn University offers a variety of bachelor's and master's degree programs in seven faculties. Among them are full-time study programs, but also cooperative and part-time study forms.

Reason for PSL Inclusion

We are using the domain pages-research.it.hs-heilbronn.de exclusively to host websites via Gitlab Pages. They recommend adding the Gitlab Pages domain to the PSL, see https://docs.gitlab.com/ee/administration/pages/index.html#add-the-domain-to-the-public-suffix-list

Therefore we think it is prudent to list pages-research.it.hs-heilbronn.de as a public suffix as each subdomain under it is used by a different entity or person. They should not set/see cookies for other entities / persons.

We also have this PSL entry in place for our non-research related Gitlab Pages Instance: #1388

As Heilbronn University is a federal institution, the related domain "hs-heilbronn.de" has a long history and will not be removed in the next three years.
