JSON serialize a Selection

I have my the result of my query, and use op + data to get a nice Python object. Is there an existing way to JSON serialize that? More specifically, I grab the content of the nodes and have all the results I want and I would like to serialize each of those objects in a JSON list. Is there something like asdict to accomplish that?
