Generic Gantt chart - Date field cannot be edited #803
Comments
Hi @cschmidt-1981 ! Is the phenomenon that you are experiencing like the following video, where you can't click and edit? If so, perhaps it is due to an update to Microsoft Lists, a similar issue was created and reported in the sp-dev-docs repository. Unfortunately, I am not aware of a way to address this issue at this time...😢 (If it is a fundamental bug in Microsoft Lists, I suspect we will not be able to address it.) |
I'm seeing the exact same behavior. This seems to primarily (or at least most seriously) effect date fields using inline editing.
|
UPDATE: The issue seems to be fixed on our Tenant. Even better, we're now seeing the new modern calendar drop-down when clicking the dates instead of the classic which is a nice bonus as it saves users a click. |
Thanks for letting me know @Emmortal451 ! The new modern calendar was displayed in my environment as well! However, inlineEdit on a custom card still seems buggy. The modern calendar shows up, but it is displayed in the upper left corner and I could not select a date for the calendar😅 |
I use the Generic Gantt chart for a project list. Unfortunately, the date field can no longer be changed via the pencil!
In the grid view the corresponding date field can be changed normally.
This error occurs suddenly without any changes to the column formatting or the calculated column.
It remains to be mentioned that the list is used by people who use different date formats.
The date format used by SAMPLE is MM-DD-YYYY
Thanks for your help/ideas on the issue.
