Resource Review
When reviewing and publishing resource that has been added to the library, there are a few key steps that need to be taken. These guidelines aim to streamline the process.
Each resource must have the following fields completed:
- Title
- Link to resource
- Resource language
Make sure these fields are filled out.
Additionally, we recommend providing a clear, concise abstract or description of the resource so that when a user clicks the resource card to view more details about the resource, they get some sense of its contents before opening the link.
The title field should contain only the title of the resource. If a publication name precedes the resource's title, remove the publication name and enter it into the Publication name field instead.
If the title is excessively long, it may be hard to read on a resource in browse view. Consider adding a shorter version of the title to the Short title field.
On the right side of the editing interface, you'll see places where you can classify the resource based on the following criteria:
- Goal
- Topic
- Co-op Type
- Sector
- Region
- Format
Of these six classifications, Topic and Format are the most important. Make sure they are filled out for your resource.
If your resource was imported with existing topics, make sure that they will be helpful to users. Here are a few things to look out for when reviewing topics:
- Some topics may be overly specific or convoluted, making it hard to find a resource. Consider replacing a topic like "Antitrust Laws and Competition Issues" with a pair of more concise topics like "Antitrust" and "Competition".
- If a topic is the name of a country or region, assign that country or region under the Region classification instead and remove the topic.
- If a topic is the name of one of the resource's authors, add the author name to the resource's Authors field and remove the topic.
