For the most part, this is an extremely useful plugin and I'm so glad that I found it, so thanks for that :)

Unfortunately it segfaults with frustrating frequency, and not just when quitting, as reported in #3.

I'm not sure what it's doing when it segfaults, but I wasn't interacting with it directly at the time - I just see this out of the blue when I switch back to my PuTTY session:

[(status)] fish: Job 1, “irssi” terminated by signal SIGSEGV (Address boundary error)

And in syslog I have:

Jun 11 11:56:38 hat kernel: [3345389.638402] irssi[32337]: segfault at 20 ip 00007fd5353fd861 sp 00007fff37e33620 error 4 in libquassel_core.so[7fd5353f7000+11000]

I'm running Ubuntu Server 14.04 x64, with irssi v0.8.15 (20100403 1617) and the latest git revision:

Linux hat 3.13.0-24-generic #46-Ubuntu SMP Thu Apr 10 19:11:08 UTC 2014 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Happened to me as well.

Using irssi 0.8.17-1 on Arch Linux.

I've run tests for some hours, I've fixed the only crash I've came across:
52843ee
Does it match your crash ? (this crash only happens on buffer 1 I think)

it crashes constantly for me using irssi's HEAD from today, and using 0.8.17

It segfaults for me as well, always directly on attempting to connect.

Ubuntu 14.04 (mint 17) amd64
irssi 0.8.15 (20100403 1617)
