Working backwards (and guessing one month for each phase):
1.0 published Jan 31
RC.1 published on Jan 1
Code review begins no later than Dec 1
QA Dev testing Nov 1

EDIT: @ariel-phet reminded me that we have first QA dev testing before code review.

It has come to my attention that we have other simulations due around the same Jan 31, 2019 date. I'm not sure how many fit that deadline. It will be critical to space these out so we don't get jammed up.

We decided to postpone development of the diffraction screen until the other three screens are complete. We do not expect the diffraction screen to be ready by the deadline for this issue. I created a label for it called "wave-interference:diffraction-screen" so we can divide up that work.
