Test results...

Device: MacBookPro16,1 (2019 Intel), macOS 14.3.1
Browser: Chrome 122.0.6261.129
Build: grunt dev --minify.mangle=false --brands=phet,phet-io

Protocol: Snaphot 1 was taken immediately after starting the sim. Snaphots 2-9 were taken at 1-minute intervals. Snapshot 10 was taken 10 minutes after Snapshot 9.

Results: Heap size stabilizes at ~122 MB, and there is no sign of memory leaks.
