We would like this use case to be scientifically meaningful

We need:

  • An area with plenty of observations available
  • A selection of datasets
  • A time range
  • Variables that we want to use as predictor variables,
  • For MERF/ME-EBM we need to choose the fixed and random effects variables, and also the cluster grouping
  • Make sure we include the necessary variables for the pyphenology thermaltime model

https://github.com/phenology/springtime/blob/main/src/springtime/recipes/model_comparison_EU_usecase.yaml exists but has not been run fully.
