Bug Tracking and Tasks

Now that we have a critical mass of people developing software we should move to a more manageable way of managing bugs and TODO. Slack should only be used for immediate queries: "can anyone spot what's wrong?" "how can I do this?". Assume the Slack messages die after a day. (They die after 2 months anyway). The most common followup up will be immediate solutions or posting an issue Posting a Github issue is still essential for all bugs/enhancements . It allows us to share it immediately and also bring in other people. | However Github will often have more issues than can immediately be dealt with. We will therefore: triage the current list at regular intervals make a priority list of actions There are many tools to help - such as Jira. We should look to see whether it's useful for us. Let's also see how small PyPI projects deal with issues and bugs.
