Allow forcing upgrades with occ, enabled by default #18782
Conversation
this will lock out an admin from his instance where he has no shell access. Don't get me wrong - I like this but the scenario described above has to be respected. |
@DeepDiver1975 Not necessarily, the admin can still connect over FTP or associated protocols and change the config.php parameter. Should I add a notice to this warning that is an option in case occ upgrades are not possible? |
at least yes - please |
A new inspection was created. |
enhancements to the whole upgrade experiance is scheduled for 9.0 - setting milestone accordingly - THX |
@DeepDiver1975 full ack |
yes. big 9.0 topic |
Something for the new updater ? @VicDeo |
Workaround: go into maintenance mode and then this isn't needed. |

Enabled by default, the web upgrader is disabled by the
upgrader.forceocc
config.php parameter. A message is displayed directing the admin to occ.(text wrapping is a bit rubbish)
Fixes #something (can't find, need food now)
