It is common for US-style maps to have special icons for capitals (national, state) and perhaps even county seats for states that have them.

Suggested icons from #19:

  • For capital=2, a 5-pointed star encased in a circle.
  • For capital=4, a filled circle surrounded by concentric circle.

It would be useful to review examples of special capital icons on US-style maps for inspiration.
