skip-motion not working?

I'm a Skip newbie, and I was just trying out the skip-motion framework. As a trivial example, I tried adding it to the default HelloSkipApp, in Package.swift, I added:

        .package(url: "https://source.skip.tools/skip-motion.git", from: "0.0.0")

...then I added this to that app's ContentView:

And it just says "No such module 'SkipMotion'"

It's definitely added as one of the Package dependencies, and it resolves as version 0.1.1. It even autocompletes in Xcode (I'm using 15.2).

What could I be doing wrong? (I've attached the two files I've changed from the HelloSkipApp, but as you can see it is pretty simple.). Or could this just be a problem with skip-motion?

As well as adding the dependency to https://source.skip.tools/skip-motion.git, did you also add the "SkipMotion" module dependency from your target? Take a look at the https://github.com/skiptools/skipapp-lottiedemo repository for an example of it in action, and let us know if you continue to experience the issue.

Thank you for your reply. I was unable to run skipapp-lottiedemo as an app, it only built as a framework target. But now that I look carefully, you are right, I did not do that properly. Thanks for taking the time to answer such a beginner's question!

I tried this with skip-web, added the package dependency, added the SkipWeb module as a target dependency, but the line import SkipWeb errors with Unresolved reference: web so maybe I'm still missing something?

One thing to note is that SkipWeb depends on iOS 17 (because it uses @Observable), and the current default Skip-generated project has a minimum iOS version of iOS 16. The error message when a dependency has a higher iOS version than the project can be confusing (it is often just "Unresolved reference"). Can you try bumping your project's dependency to iOS 16? You need to do this both in the Package.swift for the app module:

Another thing to note is that the SkipWeb package is quite new and needs a lot of work, but if you encounter specific issues, please let us know. And PRs are, as always, greatly appreciated!
