Features with highway=pedestrian are currently rendered the same as highway=corridor. These are very different types of features. Pedestrian streets should look wider and more similar to roads than paths.

I made pedestrian streets the same width as roads but with the colors and dashes from footways.

Here's a town in the Netherlands before and after. The new style makes the pedestrian streets look natural and more important than side paths.

We can improve this rendering even more by doing #6871.
