We think Streamlit may be suitable for developing OpenPathology dashboards. To better understand what it can (and can't) do, we will use it to recreate the OpenSAFELY Service Restoration Observatory Liver Function Testing key measure.

The data for the key measure are published at https://jobs.opensafely.org/service-restoration-observatory/sro-key-measures-dashboard/published/01GGZ12739P6B7Z00QAJBTBKK3/.

We should create an app module with this repo, which should contain our dashboard modules. For simplicity, let's call this dashboard module app.sro_key_measures.py. Having recreated the liver function testing key measure, we should release it to Streamlit Community Cloud.

The dashboard could also have:

  • an interactive legend to show/hide percentiles, deciles, and the median
  • "dots" to represent the datum under the mouse cursor
  • a drop-down to select the key measure
