@bobmyhill - thanks for your submission to JOSS. We're currently managing a large backlog of submissions and the editor most appropriate for your area is already rather busy. For now, we will need to waitlist this paper and process it as the queue reduces. Thanks for your patience! |
Thanks for letting me know, @arfon. If there's anything I can do to help (reviewing other submissions, for example), I'll be happy to do so. |
@bobmyhill here is registration if you want to sign up as a reviewer! https://joss.theoj.org/reviewer-signup.html |
@kthyng thanks, done! |

Hi @jedbrown! Are you still up for editing this submission? |
Yeah, sorry. Realistically, I'm wildly oversubscribed until after SIAM (next week). I'll get to it as soon as I can. |
Hi @jedbrown, I just wanted to ask if there are any news on the manuscript since it still says pre-review. |
Alright, finally breathing room. Sorry this took so long. I've installed the software and done a pre-review; it looks good to move forward and I've started emailing potential reviewers. |
@anowacki @GeoscienceSoftware 👋 Would you be available to review this submission to JOSS? |
Great, thanks a lot! |

OK, I've started the review over in #5389. |
Hi @jedbrown. It's worth noting that I am currently working with @bobmyhill on a project, and so it's possible that may be viewed as a conflict of interest. If you are happy to go ahead with me as a reviewer, then I would be willing to review this. However, please also be aware that I won't be able to make much progress on this for a few weeks. If that is not soon enough, then please do suggest others. Finally, I am not an expert in Python and so whilst I can look at the API and documentation side of things, I am not that well placed to look at the tests or suggest improvements to general reproducibility. |
Thanks @anowacki. In light of that conflict and having found two reviewers, we'll let you off the hook for this one. 😄 Thanks for your concern regarding documentation and reproducibility. |
