Hello human, I'm @whedon, a robot that can help you with some common editorial tasks.

For a list of things I can do to help you, just type:

@whedon commands

For example, to regenerate the paper pdf after making changes in the paper's md or bib files, type:

@whedon generate pdf

What happens now?

This submission is currently in a pre-review state which means we are waiting for an editor to be assigned and for them to find some reviewers for your submission. This may take anything between a few hours to a couple of weeks. Thanks for your patience 😸

You can help the editor by looking at this list of potential reviewers to identify individuals who might be able to review your submission (please start at the bottom of the list). Also, feel free to suggest individuals who are not on this list by mentioning their GitHub handles here.

👋 @wingtorres — Please check your citations. A bunch of them appear as ???, which means that the entry was not found in the .bib file.

You will also need to add DOIs to your references.

@jamesgrecian @theoniphotopoulou @ianjonsen @isaacvandor @mattdawkins @meredithmjackson @readicculus @carsen-stringer @jgraving @alexander-hamme would you be interested in reviewing this software package (a python GUI for marine animal size analysis from aerial image data), for the Journal of Open Source Software (JOSS)? The streamlined review process takes place on GitHub and focuses largely on evaluating the software and on reviewing a very short paper.

Sorry @Kevin-Mattheus-Moerman, I am over-subscribed with review and editorial tasks at this time. I'm also not a Python programmer. Suggest you contact @jdpye and/or @mdsumner who might be able to at least direct you to potential expert reviewers in this domain. Best, Ian Jonsen

@isaacvandor thanks. I've assigned you as reviewer. I'm hoping to recruit at least one more but hopefully 3 in total. We are flexible regarding time. We tend to aim for 2-3 weeks, although it has been challenging to find reviewers here. Thanks for your help.
