Usability When Adding An Admin Order #227

When adding an order via the admin interface there is a slight usability issue.

If you add the products first then go and add the customer address details (i imagine if some one phones to place an order they will say which products they want first) then the payment and shipping method dropdowns do not get populated.

Clicking the 'Add Product' button again will populate them however this is not obvious to a user.

The dropdowns should be updated at some other point too, such as on address change or possibly when changing to the totals tab.

I have feeling that if you go back and change the address after adding products (say to another country) then the available shipping methods will not be updated.

I only posted because my client was struggling and i had to have a look at the code to work it out.

I understand that there is a reason it's done like it is but i feel it could be improved so this issue doesn't happen.

What would be wrong with triggering the update again when switching to the totals tab?

There's no need to be rude is there?

How about constructive debate on points people make?

All i'm saying with this is that i think its a usability issue that your not able to add products before adding customer details. What's wrong with that? To me it seems like something that could be easily fixed and improve the software.

Why offer user's only one strict route of doing something when you can make it a bit more tolerant to how a user wants it.
