Project philosophy

I try to declare what I want from this project to be, for the near future. If you think this is not what you want, please feel free to fork (and I'd be very happy to see forks of this project).

• Every feature this project offers, it will try to do well, fast, and intelligently.
• This does not try to be a replacement for the car stereo in your dash.
• It will not be a retropie system.
• It will not be a backup cam.
• It will not be a dash cam either.
• It will not play music on its own. It will not have its own media player. If you want something like that, have a look at this project.
• It will try to be practical first - you may want free VC4 and whatnot, but OMX player and EGL2.0 works right now.

Things that might be possible in the future, but not right now:

• Ham radio/Software-defined radio.
• ODB-II.
• Bluetooth integration.
• Custom touchscreens/screen sizes.
