The
backoff
library made a major version bump to2.0.0
when dropping support for Python 3.6:https://github.com/litl/backoff/blob/master/CHANGELOG.md
This PR allows for using newer
backoff
versions under Python versions 3.7 and above, I can add an upper bound on3.0.0
if that's preferred, but in my experience it's best to skip capping upper bounds by default and only add them when necessary.Fixes #2693
