We should probably remove the py34 stuff from the tox.ini
as well if we do not want people running it.
Thanks for catching this, I missed it in the original pass. I'll also update the github workflow to drop 3.4. I'll fix changelogs as well. |
…1101 (open-telemetry#1099) This addresses open-telemetry#1101 open-telemetry#752, and open-telemetry#1013 - Fix context loss when used in some async cases
Remove unwanted support for Python versions <3.6. This integration mistakenly lists Python 3.4 support, because it was merged in open-telemetry/opentelemetry-python#1039, after the merge of open-telemetry/opentelemetry-python#1099, so the latter didn't consider `falcon`. Python 3.4 is broken nevertheless, as this integration already includes f-strings and other `opentelemetry` dependencies, which require Python 3.6. Fixes open-telemetry#772.

Description
As discussed at the SIG meeting on Sep 10, it was agreed that dropping support for 3.4 would be better done before we reach GA. This has been previously discussed in this issue here: #25. Many instrumentations that we provide support for only support Python 3.5+ already. Python 3.4 was end of lifed over a year ago (Mar 2019)
