Is there a unit test that confirms correctness / avoids regressions?

Seems much safer. It's not readily apparent to me thought why c:\one
would be considered an invalid path on Windows. Any ideas?
As @jack-berg already pointed out, it is a little surprising to not see a corresponding change in a unit test...but I'm guessing like many things that touch the filesystem that testing requires some additional mock work that doesn't (yet) exist.

A bit of a drag that there isn't a better built-in api for this.
I added a regression test to hopefully make it clearer (and safer) |
