chore: proptest for canonicalize on infix type expressions

Description

Problem*

Resolves #6263

Summary*

Property testing that canonicalizing before/after instantiating type variables with constants returns the same results.

With Type::CheckedCast, the test succeeds.

But when CheckedCast is disabled, there are several cases where instantiating with or without a call to canonicalize beforehand gives different results:
