Extension of Statesman to get state diagrams.
Adds .to_dot
method to Statesman::Machine
. It can export your machine
class definition to the
DOT format.
Also adds a Rake task called statesman:diagram
. It runs the dot
program (GraphViz) to make a PNG image from the DOT representation of the
machine class.
Add this line to your application's Gemfile:
group :development do
gem 'statesman-diagram'
end
And then execute:
$ bundle
Or install it yourself as:
$ gem install statesman-diagram

Run rake statesman:diagram[My::State::Machine::Class]
.

You can also specify the name of the file rake statesman:diagram[My::State::Machine::Class, ./temp/state]

After checking out the repo, run bin/setup
to install dependencies. You can also run bin/console
for an interactive prompt that will allow you to experiment.
To install this gem onto your local machine, run bundle exec rake install
. To release a new version, update the version number in version.rb
, and then run bundle exec rake release
, which will create a git tag for the version, push git commits and tags, and push the .gem
file to rubygems.org.
