BREAKING:
  * It hasn't really been feasible, and now it's no longer possible
    to target rustc 1.35.0
    (or even bullseye rustc 1.48.0/cargo 0.47.0-3):
    it's either that or actually just be broken for some users
    (cf. the git2 commit/issue below),
    something's gotta give: it's me.
    No longer do we target a particular MSRV.
