as a follow-up to #759

notes:

  • in the mix I have added a - admittedly unrelated - micro fix to turn off a DeprecationWarning issued during the tests
  • also the input for the test case is not inlined in the testcase code, but provided as a separate file, let me know if that works for you or not

Hi @parmentelat , sorry I could not unpile this on time... Do you think that 7fa20b6 does document well the identity of files generated with either the Python API, contents manager or CLI? Also there we better see that the ipython3 marker does come from the language_info.pygments_lexer metadata, as discussed at #759
